The terms of the Mayor and Vice-Mayor are for one year and expire at the first meeting in January. The General Municipal Election is held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November, in even-numbered years. Council terms are for four years. The next General Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
Regular Council meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the first three Mondays of each month. Meetings are cablecast live in most cases (and replayed) on Government Channel 26 or 29 and broadcast via KZSU Radio, 90.1 FM.
